A Girl and her Dolls

About 1 week before her first birthday a switch clicked in Cora and suddenly she liked her dolls! It is funny how girls just know that they are supposed to like dolls! If you ask Cora where her baby is she'll go looking for one and bring it to you.. she'll disappear and before you know it she has brought you every single doll she owns, one by one, and they will all be piled into your lap! She likes to give her babies hugs, and she also likes to point to their eyes. Her American Girl Itty Bitty Baby has the eyes that close when she lies down.. this fascinates Cora (and Cole!). Cora also has one baby that talks (non-stop ... it might be related to Caden!) all the kids love this one. Cole carries it around cradled like a baby and feeds it a bottle. Cora must have picked up on this because she also brings the bottle over to it and puts it up to the dolls mouth! Perhaps she won't be the tom-boy we assumed she would be!

And this last picture is just funny.. Rob put the superman cape on Cora and if only I was 2 feet farther away I could have caught all of Cora.. she was holding the cape with her arm up and looked like a true super hero!
