Rogers' Road Trip: Arriving in Virginia

Sunday evening we arrived in Virginia from Pennsylvania at Mary Jane's house, Old Mill Farm.  Where we were in Virginia is the definition of country... hay bales, corn fields, and some historical battle fields thrown into the mix.  When we arrived it was hot, Hot, HOT!  It had just rained and was super humid.  Bringing my camera to the super air conditioned house to the outside caused a bit of a problem.. super fogged up everything!

We arrived to find Uncle Ellis and Paul waiting for us with Mary Jane, they came with a big sack of goodies for the kids... Pirate masks, pop guns, tiger tails and other fun.

After some play and exploring we settled down to a delicious meal, followed up by carrot cake.  Cole was told he couldn't have carrot cake (which was on display throughout dinner, great strategy!) until he ate some chicken (grilled chicken not chicken nuggets) with the help of Uncle Ellis he ate chicken and corn! And that has been the new beginning of Cole!  Since returning home he has eaten grilled chicken and a cheeseburger!  This is amazing and very exciting.

Up next... more Virginia!
