We've been MIA lately... having a blast on vacation! We went on a Road Trip! 25 hours in the car, 1 1/2 hours on a ferry boat, lots of miles, lots of fun... mostly when we were out of the car though.
First stop was Pennsylvania! Sesame Place with the Ruegg's (sans the twins... too little!) By the end we were water logged. It was a great time spent with some great friends!
Caden has been afraid of rides since the beginning... we finally convinced him to go on the carousel, which at Canobie two years ago was definite NO! But he got on and though he won't admit it, I'm pretty sure he liked it!
They had plants all over the place that resembled the characters.. I thought it was pretty cool.
First water activity.. a little splash park they were strategically located all over the park. But this one you had to wait in line for, most you did not.
Cole didn't want to go in the water area, so we went on the Elmo flying fish ride. Hopefully one of the kids will enjoy roller coasters and other scary rides as much as me! My guess is that it will be Cora!
Next up was the lazy river.. Cora fell asleep mid-way through, she must have been totally zonked because she didn't even wake up when we took her life jacket off. We passed her around until we all got situated.
Another splash-ground
Cole loves characters, he will be very fun once we go to Disney some day which we realize with 2 adults and 3 kids won't be sooner rather than later. Especially since Caden isn't a huge fan of rides. Once he and Cole can go together without adult assistance we are good to go! or at least that is what we say right now :) Anyway.. back to Cole and characters.. his big hug for Bert was adorable, any time we'd walk by characters he'd ask to give them high-five, but the line was always long. Luckily we passed Bert and Ernie right as they were starting so him and Emilia were only about 3rd in line! Afterwards he was very upset because he forgot to high-five Ernie.
And then both Caden and Cole decided they wanted to go down a water slide. Cora was still sleeping, and thankfully Jen wanted to go down too so she went with Cole while Rob went with Caden. The line was LONG.. Cora nearly broke my back by the time they finally went down!
Wheee!
And they were happy as clams at the end.. I'll be honest I figured they'd both chicken out before they ended up going down. I'll also be honest that I was jealous not to go... I am a HUGE fan of water parks.. can't wait for Water Country in a few years!!

Our final ride was a big water slide that a group up to 6 could ride down together on a big raft. Cole ended up having to go to the bathroom so Rob took him back through the line, this worked out well so that we could all go on a raft together. Cora and Emilia were not huge fans... buck up campers! It was fun!
And that ended our day... 7 hours at Sesame Place made great car sleepers.. except of course Cora who got her snooze on the river.
Next up: Virginia!

Yay! So excited to see all of the pics of your trip! Looks like you guys had a blast! I didn't realize it was a water park too! Awesome!
Looks like a great time was had by all. I wonder if Cole was thinking "I hope my feet never get that big"
