Neglect...

We've been neglecting posting pictures of the boys! Since the labor false alarm we've had the bags packed, including the cameras, and ready to go. Packing them into my car every morning in case something happens at work, then unpacking the toiletries and cameras at night so they don't freeze or get too cold and totally kill the batteries of the cameras for when we really need them.. unfortunately our camcorder batteries already only give us like 10 minutes of battery life, so we'll most likely need to charge that once we get to the hospital.. but don't worry, we weren't recording the birth! Just the baby later!
Anyway, we've taken pictures here and there, but never uploaded them until yesterday.. so figured we should share what the crazy boys have been up to!

Caden playing Cars on PS2, while Cole snuggles in next to him, normally Caden would not allow this, but since he is completely focused on his game he probably didn't even notice! By the time Cole is able to play he will probably have mastered the game just by watching Caden... he watches Caden like a hawk and tries to do everything that he does, a lot of times succeeding!
You may or may not be aware of Cole's obsession with wipes. He LOVES them. We always find dried up ones lying around the house. He'll take them out wipe his face, suck on them, wash furniture, wash the cat, you name it.. here he's I guess balancing them on his face! At least he is clean!
Super Bowl Sunday, Padge is "Super Wall-E" ... or something like that! But does look a lot like a super hero in his Under Armor gear!

Here Rob was trying to capture how long Cole's hair is getting, and how we need to cut it, but Caden wanted into the picture, so it didn't work out so well.. some of the following pictures you can see it though. I definitely need to give him a bit of a back trim as it is starting to reach mullet status. Caden didn't need his first mullet trim until after he was 2.. Cole will need it very soon. Especially because at the skating rink last weekend he made a friend.. she was probably 8 or 10 ( I really have no idea how old she was I'm really bad at that!) Anyway, she asked what his name was, and I told her Cole. She said "that's what I thought.. Hi Nicole!" AHHH!! I didn't figure out if she really thought he was a girl.. but it was motivating enough for me to start thinking about trimming his hair... now if only I can execute!

Being the boys they are the kids have a new game... climbing onto the arm of the couch after standing on their matchbox car bin and belly flopping onto the couch. Really it isn't' something we should be allowing, but it is so comical we haven't stopped them yet. I see many Mother's out there cringing.. I am sure we get the poor parenting award of the week! But look how happy they are!

Cole in flight! you can kinda see his long hair in this one...

The static gives you a great idea on how long his hair is getting!!

Hey.. at least they are taking turns!

On other updates.. Caden can now say the "Pledge of Allegiance" We have it on video to eventually post, but with our new web cam the software interferes with our camcorder, so in order to upload our video from the camcorder we need to un-install the web cam software.. kind of annoying.. so we'll wait til we have a bunch of video before doing it.. stay tuned, it'll be after the baby arrives! What else? Cole! At last he is making an effort to talk! It has been progressing over the past month or so, but it is great. He still speaks Cole speak that probably only Rob and I understand, but it's better than the grunts he was giving us previously! Not to say he doesn't still do that most of the time! but at least now when you ask him to say something he tries. My favorites are "kick" because whenever he says it he has to be kicking, and please because it's so cute! his little tongue comes out for the 'L' and his face scrunches up in a big smile and he puts his hands out for whatever he is asking for. He is also the best at covering his mouth when he coughs or sneezes! It is amazing! Kim has him trained very well (Thank you Kim!) The reason we need this is because we keep passing around a cold in our house, both boys have had it twice, Rob and I only once. It's almost gone from Cole, hopefully no one else brings it back! Caden is always surprising us with the things that come out of his mouth too.. the other day he asked Rob if the Earth was moving.. we're not sure where he learned about that.

that is some long hair, and by the way the christmas gloves are getting a good workout here, what a surprise, it has snowed all week long.
