Parties!

You may ask why I am even trying to catch up.. but eventually I would like to bind the blog, probably in several volumes, as the kids scrapbook.  And so I continue.. slow and steady wins the race right?!  It definitely doesn't help that we were on vacation for a week with no Wi-Fi!  Perhaps you'll hear about that vacation in a few months :)

Back in mid-June we attended the kids cousin's birthday party.  I am quite jealous in that my step-brother and sister-in-law have managed to birth three babies in the same month!  That makes birthday parties a dream come true!  And Roberta always has the most fun themes, even while just giving birth to a baby a week and a half before!  This year was a construction party with hard hats and lunch boxes to boot!  The yard was covered in orange cones and caution tape.  Very cute!

Could some  one please get this poor boy a pool!! ha ha! Birthday Boy #1 takes a dip in the water table.

While Birthday Boy #2 practices his monkey moves down the slide.  I will point out that he and Cora are the same age.. this little peanut is half the size of our well sprouted Cora!

Cake time!!

This little guy REALLY enjoys cake!

Caden has learned from his Dad how to kink the hose to stop the sprinkler and then let it go when someone goes to check on it.  Soon everyone was having a turn.

You can't have summer without Watermelon!

And the newest addition to their June baby clan!  This sweet girl will be well taken care of by her big brothers!

And after the birthday party we headed to the Sevin's to catch the back end of their Tiki Party.  I miss theme parties.. they were a big part of our college days!

Kelly is such a great hostess, she always has a fun craft for the kids to do.  Here Rob models a couple of our new koozies!  Isnt' the purple one beautiful?!  Cora and I worked very hard on it :)

Some Tiki flair

And some yummy gooey s'mores to top off the fun evening.

Cora just loves Charlotte!  And she is getting old enough where they now can play together.
