Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!  I had envisioned putting these photos together for a frame for Rob.. but it hasn't happened yet, but it will!  Eventually :)

What better way to celebrate Father's Day, but with pulled pork, ribs and beer?! at the Budweiser Rock'n RibFest!  We boarded a school bus shuttle from the parking lot to take us to the festivities!

They had a whole area of inflatable fun for kids... this ball is hovering on a stream of air waiting for Cole to hit it.

When the bounce houses got busy sometimes Cora would just sit in the corner and watch.. other times she'd bounce with the rest of them.

Cole didn't stop for a moment.

Among the fun they had a giant obstacle course, this was probably Cole's favorite, he could've spent the entire day at this structure.

But one of the most entertaining spots was the Pugile Stick Battle zone!  American Gladiators was such a great show!  Caden and Cole S. stepped up to their pillars.

Ready for battle!

Spectators

Man down!! They ended up in a draw. The poor things, the sticks probably weighed more than the boys themselves!  They could barely move up there.

And then it was lunchtime!

While the kids dined on hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries.. I stood in line for the real food... yes, this was my position at the end of the longest line on earth!  Of course the longest line means the best right?!  They did win 2010 People's Choice Award after all!  I will say.. it was worth the wait and delicious.  I failed to take a picture of what I chose for Rob.. "The Porkinator" a giant pulled pork sandwich topped with jack cheese, ham and bacon!  Every Dad's dream!

They had an airshow.. Cora claims she doesn't like loud noises.. so she covered her ears for the better part of it.

Cora fell in love with the frogs the boys won, so she won one on the way out.

As the last hoorah the kids (there were many families there from town) all stood in line for this giant inflatable gauntlet, which was a giant inflatable ball hanging in the center of 4 pillars which the kids tossed around to knock each other off, I didn't take a wide angle picture of it unfortunately.. but it was pretty cool,  I wonder if they rent them out for birthday parties!

Bonk!

Brothers band together to fend off the competition!

I just love watching Cole S so anything really!  He gets so into it!

Cole quickly realized the outer perimeter was just as good as his own personal bounce house while the bigger kids were up battling.

On the way out to see the Clydesdale horses the kids got an icy treat, which allowed them to stop for a short moment for a Dad shot.. this is the best one we got, they were far too interested in their ice cream.

Okay.. where was this smile in the above picture?!  This is what Cole was saying "take a picture of my ice cream!"  He always wants me to take a picture of what he is holding.

Here is Rob in his new assumed position with his father's day gift.

Hold on he said... kissing up!

And it was still beautiful out when we returned home! So we jumped in the chilly pool for a bit.  We learned that Cora doesn't actually have a fear of water, which we thought after a visit to a pool this winter.. she in fact LOVES it!  She is a little fish!  Now I am sad that I hadn't enrolled her in lessons this past spring, but it isn't too late.  Next week the kids are in a week long class, she and Cole will be in the same class together, so hopefully that will help her feel comfortable.

There are so many adorable pictures here! Now I see why you've taken so long to post- they are hard to choose between. :) Such a fun day!
