One Morning in Maine

Last weekend we were in Maine for Aunt Mary's wedding, The next morning we woke up to have cereal before we were off to the fair!  How did Cora end up with the biggest bowl Grampy has?!

Cole got the blue bowl.. there is only ONE blue bowl so there is a fight every time.. last visit Caden got it, so I guess to be fair Cora gets it next.

Then it was off to the Fryeburg fair.. we haven't been to a fair in quite awhile, so it was a nice treat.  Just another reason to love the fall!

We only had a 5 minute walk to the fairgrounds from where we parked.

In case you were wondering!

We saw lots of animals, but we were able to get up close and personal with these particular cows through a window.  Cora got slobbered on by this one's friend, it was pretty nasty!

Cora is always a little hesitant around Grampy each time she sees him again, but she quickly warms up and joins his fan club (the boys LOVE Grampy, they fight over who gets to sit next to him!)

I had never noticed it until this weekend, but Cora has Grampy Waterhouse's eyes and brow structure, you can't really see it in this picture, but it is so obvious I'm not sure how I didn't see it before!

See what I mean?  During the horse pulling both boys had to sit on Grampy's lap

Cora was so funny!  Every time a horse successfully pulled the amount of weight the arena clapped. Cora clapped along with them every time.

And then there was yummy fair food!  I think these are new within the past few years.. ribbon fries, they are basically glorified chips.. they were tasty, but real fries are SOOooo much better!

The kids sat up to this counter for lunch (side note Caden ate 4 cheeseburgers that weekend!)

The boys tried out every tractor they set their eyes on.. it was a long trek down the equipment aisle!

And then it was time to go home..lots of walking made for very tired boys.  But seriously?  Cole and Cora had the best walk back to the car!  Oh to be little again.
