Caden's 1st Day of Preschool!

Most of you have probably already received my "1st day of preschool" email, but as a recap... Caden's first day went great! Not a bit of anxiety, which was a huge surprise considering the day before which was the visit when parent's were allowed. I was not allowed to leave his side, and a hand on the shoulder at all times was preferred! These pictures will be the first of many taken on these steps I am sure! After his first day when I picked him up he told me "Mommy I really had lots of fun!" (I had tears of joy!! and relief!) However all of the kids painted pictures.. except Caden, he confided to me on the way home that it was too scarey... hmmm we'll have to look into that one! Other than painting, the other things I learned they did was they had a peanut hunt, and they played outside, I'm not sure they did any learning the first day, but if they did he will carry it to his grave!

Preschool is only 2 days a week for 2 hours, the rest of the time he is with Cole at Kim's.. and Kim, being the best daycare provider ever!! drives Caden to and from school on those days (we love you Kim!) So it doesn't seem like much, but we think it is exactly the right fit for Caden. And when at Kim's she does Mother Goose Nursery School activites, so really he has preschool every day!

This past Tuesday was Caden's first show and tell day. We printed a picture of Ivy (our cat) for him to show his new friends. He says he's the only one who brought something for show and tell, but we aren't actually sure. They are also allowed to check out movies, he brought home "Batman and Scooby Doo" and doesn't want to return it (we do!). He also came home with his first craft - an apple magnet with his picture on it.. I guess that wasn't too scarey!

Thursday we finally got a name out of him.. he played cars with "Trailer" (real name = Taylor!). Other than that tid-bit we didn't learn much except about playtime.

Showing off his backpack

Caden and Cole on the steps together

Caden shows off his name stick (they have to put this on the attendance board each day)

After his first day!... He didn't want to wear his name badge around his neck, we had to tie it on his shorts.. Mr. Difficult!

What you are doing is Great.
Looks like the WHOLE family is getting into the Spirit of the BLOG and what is happening. Even Caden and Cole.

Somehow I think I forgot that you (Lisa) were again Pregnant... CONGRATs to the family. I know we here in the Nation's Capital are excited.

Oh, start thinking now as to what the Roger's NH family want from Santa. Can't start too soon for that "stuff"
