A trip to Grampy's

This past weekend we hit the road and went to Maine to visit Grampy Waterhouse. Caden had a soccer game late in the afternoon so it ended up being a less than 24 hour overnight which is much too short to do all the important things.. like ride tractors, feed the animals, etc... so we'll have to make a trip back soon! Although we got a taste of what it will be like in the future travelling with three children in such close quarters.. amusingly it was Cora who was causing trouble! Cole fell asleep almost instantly, and anytime his head would loll off to Cora's side of the a giggling would erupt from her seat and you could see her pudgy little hand moving slowly towards his head... Cole woke up more than once crying after Cora grabbed a big handful of his hair and pulled... and with the sunlight shining into the car you could see all of the blond Cole hairs stuck to her hand that she had removed from his head! Ahhhh.. and so the fun begins!

I tried to get a Christmas card photo of the kids on a horse.. but in order to get the horse's head in the picture too the kids were like little ants in the photo! And they weren't cooperating anyway at looking and smiling on cue.. so I guess we'll try for a Christmas photo-op another time!

Grampy has lots of fun animals.. horses, chickens, sheep, turkeys.. and bees!! The bees we had to walk to.. below is Grampy with the boys on the way to the hive.

Cole and I watch an airplane make tracks in the beautiful blue sky! Although it was rather windy that day. Cole looks so little to me in this picture!

Caden and Wyatt helped Grampy save the hay field by cutting all the milk weed pods off so they couldn't open and spread more seeds.

Cole just stands around and watches as work is done, he would much rather be pulling out the fun silky seeds! So we kept him at a distance!

Before we left we stopped at Flaherty's Farm for the Straw Maze.. pretty challenging as far as tight squeezes between the bales, but we got out pretty quickly. It was Free! what more could we expect?!

Apples, Pumpkins, Sunshine.. Oh My!

On Sunday we waited anxiously for the sun to clear. Once it did, and all the kids were awake we went down to the local orchard with Grammy and Grampy to pick some apples and pick out pumpkins! Since Caden and Rob weren't at the picking portion of our party, the rest of us waited for them before picking.

Really there's not much better than an apple picked fresh off the tree. MMMmm! So crisp, juicy and tart. Yummy! Caden was a picking fool.. he had our bags filled within no time flat! The trees were FULL of big red apples. Cole had a more difficult time with the whole twist and pull concept, but he didn't mind eating them after a little bit of help!

Cousin Brian's Wedding!

6 1/2 years later we had the 2nd fabulous Pyndo family wedding of the cousins! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Brian and Jen Marshall! They got hitched Friday night on the grounds of a gorgeous mansion in Topsfield. Like any other time we all get together as a family we all had a blast! We rocked the night away! It was very strange not to have a child tugging at our legs, but we had a great time being adults!

7 Month Kid Comparison!

Before Cora is 8 months old I thought I'd better get this out!

This past week Cora popped her 3rd tooth! I know I already said she got her 3rd tooth awhile back.. but it was a false alarm (a.k.a. Rob "found" it hehe). Looks like she'll be popping #4 tomorrow! You can see it white under the gums. Today she had a milestone! She sat up from lying down!! This girl is trucking through life in fast forward! or at least it seems.. granted life is busy these days so time passes lickity split without hardly blinking an eye.. it's kind of sad! Our last baby isn't going to be a baby much longer :(

Anyway... I think she is a great mix between the two boys!
