For the Love of Family....

It is no secret.. I think my extended family is the best ever!  We have so much fun together.  When we got to our final Christmas Party of the year Caden asked when the kids would get there... sorry buddy we had to tell him, you guys are it!  (but there is another kidlet on the way to arrive this summer!!)  My cousins however are great and they were able to wear out the kids.. while wearing themselves out in the process I am sure!  So I didn't take many pictures since we fill the house.. but I've included a bunch from the games we played.

This is "Buddy" also known as Bill.  The kids look forward to all the fun he dishes out each time they see him.

As a game lover, in addition to the traditional Yankee Swap, we've also begun playing Christmas games at the party.. This year we played two games.  A reindeer game, and a Christmas candle.  I had brought another one, but we never ended up playing.. it'll be first on the list next year.  The reindeer game was a good one, and I highly recommend it for your party next year!  The candle game I only brought because it was one the kids could play, but they ended up not even wanting to, it was amusing, but not one to play again.

What you need to play the Reindeer Game:

Teams of 3
Pair of nylons and 8 balloons for each team (keep extra balloons on hand in case you have duds)
Each team has to inflate all 8 balloons, stuffing 4 balloons in each leg.  The first to place it on their head as antlers wins the game!

The all male team

va Va VOOM!

First reindeer!

His Mom must be so proud!

His sister is!

The winning team

Cora had a preference for pink balloons.. if I hadn't given birth to all 10lbs 10oz of her, I'd swear she's not my child!

What you need to play the Christmas Candle Game:

A candle
A blindfold
people

Each person gets blindfolded three steps from the candle, spins around 3 times then tries to take three steps and blow out the candle.

We ended the game as it was getting a bit old, and no one was able to blow out the candle, but it was funny watching everyone try!

The balloons from the first game provided for lots of entertainment.. like balloon baseball...

.. and collecting crystals

.. the kids made sure Brian had every one.

Present time!  Cora was supposed to be going over to Babci to thank her for her gift.. instead she stole Babci's and proceeded to open it! We got it from her in the nick of time :)

Babci's going to Florida!  and riding in style... perhaps Three C's Crafts needs more fashionable eye masks!

And my favorite Yankee swap gift, probably because we brought it.. a beer belt!  How funny is that?!
