Last week Caden's preschool decorated a tree in the town common. Everyone makes eco-friendly ornaments. This year we made fruit loop garland. Caden had lots of fun playing with his friends and Cole tried as hard as he could to keep up with the big kids, and he did a pretty good job!

Caden gets along with ALL the girls!! He got lots of hugs that day.

The past few years we have tagged our Christmas tree then gone to cut it after Thanksgiving. This year both tagging weekends we were pretty busy, and the days we had free it rained, so we missed out on the tagging. I'll be honest it's fairly anti-climatic in comparison when you just go to a tree stand! The pictures are fairly boring! But I have to post at least one for the record! So here are Rob and Cora watching our tree get bundled up for the 1 mile ride home!
Let the tree decorating begin! Each of the kids has a box of their own ornaments which they start decorating the tree with before moving on to the rest of the ornaments. I have my own box too! of decorations I had collected growing up. Now we get an ornament wherever we go on vacation, and Santa leaves an ornament on the kids doorknobs for them to find on Christmas morning upon waking up. Each year it represents something they are currently interested in life. Below is Caden with his fireman ornament.
Cole hangs his "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornament
Interesting that I asked Rob to help hang the breakable ornaments up high, yet has Cole do it.. hmmm anyone else see the irony in this?
So far Cora hasn't been a total trouble maker with the tree.. she does have her eye on one particular ornament that is higher up which she can only reach if she is sitting with us in the computer chair.
Hanging ornaments is a tiring job!
The Sevins, sorry Brendan snowflake blocked you out!
Saturday night we went on a hayride at Charmingfare Farm with the Sevins, they decorate along the way with Christmas lights, it was very festive with the snow.
The Sevins, sorry Brendan snowflake blocked you out!
Sunday we were able to reap the benefits of the snow! it got a bit slushy in the end and the grass was peeking through, but it was still loads of fun and Caden at least did not want to stop!
Cora's first sledding experience!
Cole tried to pull Cora but the snow was super sticky even we had trouble pulling her!
"Hey.. Can someone give me a push?!"
Caden was a maniac!! Running and jumping onto the sled to go fast!
Rob and Caden race!
See the snow build up in the front of Cora's sled? Good for a snowman!
Cole and I race Caden.. we won!
Cora joins us for a real sled ride down the hill!
Good times! Winter is so fun! Too bad snow couldn't fall when it is 80 out though! I will be sad when our little front yard hill is too small for the boys. I guess as long as we don't introduce Caden to a big hill he'll never know!! More snow tonight! Maybe we'll have some more wintry fun this weekend!

So many good pics to choose from! I love the one of Caden and his girl friend. :) Should be titled "first love" or something like that! :) Sledding looked like fun- Brendan can't wait to take Cole to the Memorial HS hill or the Goffstown GC hill in Manchester! Maybe this weekend we can all go!
