All about Easter!

I know! It has been forever.. I've skipped so much I may never go back.. I can't even believe I didn't get to post about our ONE weekend of snow all winter!

But now it is practically summer out with this beautiful weather.. and so here goes Easter!

Egg Decorating

Obviously we decorated eggs! Can you color uncooked eggs I am wondering? Because no one in our house even likes hard boiled eggs.. they are still sitting in our fridge where they'll have to stay until the next trash day.. hopefully we don't forget... again!!

We got a nifty new egg dying kit! I am such a sucker for gimmicks, although they did work fairly well.

Cora was the most enthusiastic of the bunch and sat at the table the entire time.. the boys were in and out.

I'm not sure what the heck kind of eggs we got they didn't pick up the dye very well!! or maybe it was the cheap dye that came with our fancy dye holders.. notice the spotted blue and green eggs.. and the pink and purple eggs were the same exact color!

Easter Morning!

Ready to follow their candy trail to find their baskets! (remind me to get Cole some new jammie pants! Looks like they are getting a bit short!)

Cora slowly makes her way along her trail.. yes she has awesome bed hair!

Egg Hunt!

The kids look forward to the hung more than their baskets.. they would love to leave the eggs out year round to do hunts.. they don't even care if they are empty! Unfortunately they are impossible to keep consolidated. I despise plastic half eggs lying around!

Tricky!

On your mark.. get set.. go!!! The kids each have an equal amount of eggs.. and they all have their own color so they cannot fight over who has more, etc.

It took a bit for Cora to catch on.. at first she'd practically be stepping on an egg and she wouldn't see it! but by the end she was helping the boys find theirs as well.

This was a funny moment.. Cora was trying to get the egg out of the fence.. finally it fell out (see it mid air above?) and landed right in her egg hunt basket! She thought it was hysterical (see below!)

Party Time!

And the we scooted off to the family gathering.. perfect time to get our family photo! and it is amazing! We are all looking at the camera AND have smiles!! I LOVE it!

This was going to be the money shot until Rob decided to pretend to steal the kids egg hunt bags (lucky kids, Babci set up an egg hunt at the party for them too!). I got this, their reaction to him picking up their eggs.. and then they were gone. Oh well! They'll look nice again at... Christmas?!
