Before the fun begins....

This weekend we will be all gussied up for Rob's sister Lauren's wedding! So before I plaster the blog with adorable pictures of our stud-man Caden in his tuxedo as ring-bearer, Master Cole in his pink striped tie, and Miss Cora in her adorable polka-dot dress, I will leave you with these pictures from this past weekend of which I am so horribly behind!

Caden and I played soccer in the backyard while Cora bounced around with us in the backpack-carrier for the first time.. wearing her very first Red Sox hat!!

A look as if to say.. What? I am not messy!!! Cora-dear... yes you are! although it is yogurt, so perhaps it doesn't show very well that it is ALL over her face and hair!

The kids LOVE to put money in their piggy banks! So here they are posing with their banks, don't worry (Mom!) the coins were no where near Cora, the boys were filling her bank for her far away from her reach.

Soccer-Time!

Caden and Cole S. had their first soccer practice/game today for rec soccer! They are such big boys now! and they look so cute in their uniforms! Today was a rainy day so it was difficult to take pictures while carrying Cora in the bjorn and holding a golf umbrella! So I'm sure I'll have more once we have a sunny day! Rob is an assistant coach so he's in on the action too. We were so proud of Caden! For the first time ever in "organized" soccer he participated in the stretching/warm-up circle! He did jumping jacks and touched his toes!

For the first half they have practice and for the second half they play a game, today it was against the blue team, 3-on-3. Once game time began Caden did okay during his first time in.. but not much longer after that he was looking around and running around the field like a mad man... in the opposite direction of the ball! We'll be working on going after the ball this week in the backyard!

I think Caden is going to take after his Mom and not love the contact sports! not that soccer has a lot of contact, but you do have to be aggressive. Cross-country, track and rowing were more up my alley! I did hold my own in basketball for awhile, being probably the only person in history to manage not to dribble during a game much more than 3 times in the entire 9 years I played!! Cole S. on the other hand was a pro! On the ball kicking it down the field and even scoring a goal! He'll have to give Caden a few lessons! He did in fact teach Caden how to tackle (football) and now that is all Caden and our Cole do! It is quite funny to watch! And we promote it because it toughens Mr. Sensitive-Caden up! Cole is going to be our aggressive one... and just watch out because Cora is going to be the toughest! especially since she'll be keeping up with her big brothers!

We Labored

Over Labor Day weekend, we did what we were told! and we Labored! We closed the pool, Rob installed a ceiling fan and we had help cutting out some heating pipe so we wouldn't end up with frozen pipes again this winter. But we did make time for some fun! Friday night we went with the Sevins to the LHS football game! Saturday night we had grown-up night and painted the town red with Brendan and Kelly at Margaritas in Manchester... and Sunday night we took a break for s'mores with the Sevins.. in hindsight we spent a lot of time together last weekend! So we didn't really go anywhere during the day.. just stuck around the house and tired out the boys the good old fashioned way! By running them into the ground! We didn't take many pictures but here are a few...

Cora thinks she can cook s'mores... but mostly she just wants to eat them! or the stick.. which ever gets to her mouth fastest.
Cora sat in the big tub for the first time!! Caden has been showering, but Cole usually still likes to tub. so we stick the two youngest in the tub.. Cora had a blast!

and Caden made "scarey" faces for me and the camera while we waited for Rob to be done with the washing.

And on Thursday I took some time off from work to bring Caden and Cole to Caden's preschool fieldtrip. The Bedford Educational Farm. The kids loved it, you could touch most of the animals, and we had a tour of the farm, letting us know all sorts of fun farm facts!

August Leftovers

Ahh September, where did the summer go? It's amazing how the weather instantly changes to cool mornings once school starts! Here are some leftover pictures from August that never made it to the blog for some reason or another.. I may have to bring out a few of these in the dead of winter to show us what we have to look forward to!

Memories of the Dog Days of Summer!

Caden learned so much this summer as far as the swimming pool goes, and became much braver! Here he dunks his face!! I don't think you understand the achievement this is!! I'll just say that after raising Caden, when Cole was a baby we dumped water over his head in abundance when shampooing to make him get used to having water in his face and eyes... apparently we babied Caden in that aspect and he still needs to hold a cloth over his eyes.. and Heaven forbid a drop of water reach his face!

Fun with the neighbors.. now we'll go back to our driveway playtime now that it is not exactly swimming weather after dinner!

This little boy loves his sister SO much! He can't ever get enough of her! And she adores him too, she loves to watch the kids play and nothing makes her laugh harder than her brothers!

I love when she plays with her feet!!! The boys never did it really so it is a special treat!

Peas!... no, pea-nana, she won't eat straight peas, they have to be mixed with something. In most cases bananas!
