24 Week Belly Pictures!

24 Weeks!! While we still have a long way to go before the end, at least it now seems as though we are getting somewhere! Ugh! and I already feel HUGE! I can't imagine getting much bigger! Now that the birthdays are over and Halloween, we will be on a strict regimen of healthy eating! Well.. at least until Thanksgiving in 3 weeks! not that any of that has anything to do with belly growth, but perhaps we can prevent the other problem areas from growing as well! The baby is quite active still, and the good news for Rob is that I am too! I even helped rake out the flower beds and some of the hard to get lawn areas so he could mow up all the leaves. Speaking of which he is still in love with his new tractor and gets all googly eyed every time he gets to ride it!

Trick-or-Treat!

This years Halloween was a lot of fun! Caden was Obi-Wan-Kenobi and Cole was Yoda. Caden loved his costume, especially his "light sword", and I have to admit I love his costume too because it's the first one I've finally made! Only because the one in the store that was of any sort of quality was 40-something Dollars!!! not including a light saber! Outrageous! Cole tolerated his costume... we had to keep both hands occupied with pretzels when we put on his ears, then he forgot they were on and was fine. We went around with the Sevins and some of their family members. You can see they were Captain Hook, a Bat and a Strawberry! Everyone looked very festive. Caden's new buddy was Michelle, or as Caden referred to her as "the white girl", toward the end of the night she was upgraded to "Shell". She was a great sport and ran from house to house with Caden and Cole S. (a.ka. "my friend Cole" not to be confused with "Cole-bear" or "Cole-my-Brother), while the rest of us trotted behind. Cole was a real trooper, walking a lot of the way. Really we only picked him up to pick up the pace a bit! He had the true Yoda waddle which made his costume even better. I wish I had taken some video! Cole pushed his way up the steps and through the crowd to be the first to get a piece of candy in his bag. While Caden was a Halloween Diva, and "Mister" Kelly was his designated candy bag holder so he'd go up to the house get a piece of candy and bring it back to the bag that Kelly was holding for him. No one else was allowed to hold his bag! We tried to relieve her, but somehow she kept ending up with it again! It was a great night, even though all of our candy was stolen yet again this year... that's what we get for leaving the bowl out. This year we even left a sign, "Please Take 2" Naturally it didn't work, but at least we tried! I guess next year one of us will have to stay home. 2 years in a row with no candy after the first few minutes of Trick-or-Treat might get us egged! Enjoy the photos of us and the neighborhood monsters!

Cole knew just what to do! He walked up the Sevins walkway to the front door looking for his treat!
Captain Hook and Obi-Wan duel!

The littler goblins!

Cole just stood in the Sevins driveway in one spot while we took pictures. He just kept looking at everyone as if thinking "what are these people dressed in these funny clothes for?!" Little did he realize he had funny clothes too!

The kids could have stayed and looked at this Halloween Globe lawn decoration all night!

Trick-or-Treat!

All the kids at the last house of the evening, the Sevins, before we went in for cookies and cake to end the evening! YUM!

Cole trying to be just like the big kids, notice the lollipop still has its wrapper on? We decided to let him try it after awhile.. big mistake, he was drooling stickiness all over the place, and when we took it away to spare the mess, we got the meanest parents of the year award from Cole.

Birthday Party!

No... not my party... 4 year old Maya was lucky enough to be born on the best day on Earth... My birthday!!! So Sunday we travelled to Rhode Island to go to a Monster Golf Party! A fun place that is all black lights, they have mini golf and arcade games. After golf Caden played a game of ski ball, which Daddy helped score a few points so he could actually get some tickets to get a prize. Unfortunately we didn't take a picture of the birthday girl! After the party we went back to Maya's house to visit for a bit and so the kids could play together.

Carving Night

Tonight was carving night! Cole dove right into the job helping remove the seeds.. although when they would stick to his hands he would shake them real fast so the seeds would go flying. Caden opted for the spoon to scoop, and when he did use his hands he would only allow the very tip of his pointer and thumb to get "gooey". I was in charge of cutting the tops off, Rob and the kids were in charge of scooping out the seeds while I got pictures, then Caden and I were in charge of carving the faces. Caden.. more the artwork than the knife work! Here are a few picutres of our evenings adventure!

Cole says "none of this spoon stuff Brother, use your hands! Here I'll show you!!"
Caden is still using a spoon, even though you can't see it.
